They also collect sealed product samples for independent lab testing at NABL-accredited facilities.
Yes, BIS can cancel or suspend an ISI Mark license for: consistent quality failures in surveillance testing or market sample testing, non-compliance with conditions of the license, misuse or counterfeiting of the ISI Mark, failure to pay annual marking fees on time, not permitting surveillance inspections by BIS officers, non-renewal of the license after expiry, or providing false information in the application. The manufacturer must immediately stop using the ISI Mark upon cancellation and clear all remaining stock.
