About this scheme

The Andhra University Centenary Innovation & Impact Grant (AUCIIG) is a grant of up to Rs. 5 lakh per project, launched by Andhra University under RUSA 2.0 (Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan) to mark the university's centenary. The program is designed to accelerate research, prototyping, and startup ideas originating from within the AU ecosystem and is positioned as a non-dilutive on-ramp from the lab or classroom into a market-facing venture.

AUCIIG supports a broad spread of focus areas , including AI, IT/ITES, telecom, gaming, internet and media, EdTech, HealthTech, manufacturing, quantum technologies, green energy, robotics, IoT, materials science, and social-impact innovation. Beyond the cash component, selected innovators get mentorship, validation support, a structured prototype-to-market pathway, and access to startup and incubation opportunities through the university's innovation network.

Applications are open to AU faculty members, research scholars, UG and PG students, and interdisciplinary teams. This grant is restricted to the Andhra University community, so it is most relevant for AU-affiliated founders or researchers who want early capital and institutional support to take an idea from concept into a working prototype or venture.
