Envisioned as a National Centre of Excellence for innovation, new venturing, and entrepreneurship, it has built an active ecosystem through ties with incubators such as the Kerala Startup Mission, NID's NDBI, and other technology and management institutes.
It runs programmes for startups at different stages. The Business Incubation Program supports startups for up to two years through business-model validation and the search for product-market fit; the LIFE programme gives fellowship awards with subsistence grants to aspiring entrepreneurs developing technology or business-model innovations; and the FINN X Accelerator offers intensive cohort-based acceleration. Startups also receive subsidised office space, Wi-Fi, meeting rooms, faculty mentoring, and introductions to angel investors and venture capitalists.
