About this scheme

DEEP LEAP is the flagship deep-tech incubation program of IIMK LIVE, the business incubator of IIM Kozhikode, powered by Walmart. The program is designed to accelerate technology-driven startups developing innovative solutions across emerging deep-tech sectors by helping founders transform prototypes into scalable businesses.

The one-year incubation program combines structured mentoring, business training, investor readiness, industry collaborations, and strategic guidance to help startups validate products, strengthen business models, and prepare for commercial growth. Selected startups receive more than 15 hours of expert mentorship, 30 hours of structured training, access to corporate collaborations, networking opportunities, and a Demo Day where they present to 15–20 investors.

DEEP LEAP focuses on startups that have already developed a prototype or Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and are ready to accelerate towards commercialization. The program supports ventures across Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, IoT, Robotics, Blockchain, SpaceTech, Quantum Technologies, Cybersecurity, ClimateTech, Drones, Semiconductors, and other advanced technology domains.

A few high potential startups are selected for funding support of up to Rs. 30 lakh, making DEEP LEAP one of India's leading incubation programs for early stage deep-tech entrepreneurs seeking mentorship, industry validation, investor connections, and long-term business growth.

Who can apply

• Must be a registered Indian Private Limited Company.
• At least 51% Indian ownership is required.
• Startup must be building a deep-tech solution.
• Startup should have a working prototype or MVP.
• Founders must be committed full-time to the venture.
• Technology should demonstrate innovation and commercial potential.

How the application process works
