About this scheme
UPJA 2026 is the flagship track of the Pusa Krishi Incubation Program, run by ICAR, IARI under the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare. It backs registered agri-startups that have moved past the prototype phase and have an MVP or a market-ready product.
Selected startups receive grant-in-aid of up to Rs. 25 lakh, structured as a non-dilutive grant with no equity taken. Funding is paired with Pusa Krishi's incubation support, mentorship from IARI scientists, and access to the institute's agricultural research and lab infrastructure at the Pusa campus in Delhi.
UPJA targets startups working on agritech, food processing, agri supply chain, and rural innovation. Applications close on 17 May 2026 (11:59 PM).
