Its flagship is the Ignition Grant programme, run as annual cohorts, where selected startups receive non-dilutive grants, typically up to Rs. 5 lakh, alongside incubation space at NIT Srinagar, mentoring from faculty and industry experts, prototyping support in NIT's labs, and access to the DST NIDHI ecosystem, including NIDHI-EIR, NIDHI-PRAYAS, and the Seed Support System; under Cohort 2.0 it awarded ignition grants to 10 startups.
It is open to early founders, particularly first-time and rural entrepreneurs from Jammu and Kashmir and the wider Himalayan region, building green-economy solutions, with both incorporated startups and idea-stage innovators welcome and priority for ventures that already have prototypes or pilots. As one of very few incubators in Kashmir and the only one with a dedicated green-tech mandate, it is a practical entry point for J&K, Ladakh, and Himalayan founders in agritech, cleantech, water, renewables, or sustainable livelihoods who need patient grant capital and lab access.
