About this scheme

JSW MG Motor India, in partnership with DPIIT, StartupIndia, and several consortium partners, introduces the MG Developer Program and Grant 6.0. This innovation program aims to encourage developers and innovators across India to create new solutions addressing critical mobility-related challenges. It supports a wide array of participants, including students, independent innovators, inventors, emerging startups, and established tech companies, alongside internal teams from JSW MG Motor and its partners.

The program focuses on key areas within the automotive sector, encompassing advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Electric Vehicles (EVs), connected car technologies, Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS), and comprehensive sustainability initiatives. Specific themes cover logistics and supply chain optimization, manufacturing innovation, digital payment solutions, and enhancing customer experience. Participants receive specialized mentorship tailored to practical solution development, access to learning content for business growth, and valuable networking opportunities.

Successful participants benefit from significant public relations and recognition for their winning solutions, along with the unique opportunity to develop projects directly with MG and its consortium partners. A financial grant is also provided to selected winners, with the exact amount determined on a case-by-case basis at the jury's sole discretion, serving as a key incentive for innovation in the automotive space.

Who can apply

• The program welcomes external developers, including students, independent innovators, inventors, as well as both established startups and other tech companies.
• Eligibility also extends to internal teams working within JSW MG Motor and its partner companies, encouraging broader participation.
• Projects at all development stages are considered, ranging from initial ideation through to fully developed and scaling solutions.
• Participation is open to individuals and entities operating in specific industries such as Automotive, AI, IoT, Robotics, Green Technology, Logistics, EV, Renewable Energy, AR/VR, and Enterprise Software.

How the application process works

The journey below is informational, compiled from the official program guidelines. Applications are submitted directly with JSW MG Motor India, in your own name.

   After proposal submission, shortlisted startups receive mentorship.

   Participants then present their solutions on a Demo Day to an evaluating jury, who select the winners.
