About this scheme

The MeitY TIDE 2.0 Grant provides funding up to Rs. 7 lakhs to technology entrepreneurs and startups in the ICT domain. The grant is designed to support first-generation innovators who have a formal business plan and a proof of concept for their idea. The program emphasizes the development of scalable technology-based business startups and requires recipients to pursue their entrepreneurial aspirations full-time. The grant is a non-dilutive form of support provided to individuals who are not already significant shareholders in another company.

Who can apply

• The applicant must be an Indian Citizen with government-approved proof of nationality (e.g., valid passport, voter's id).
• The applicant must have completed a minimum of 4 years of formal full-time undergraduate/post-graduate education in science or engineering, OR a 3-year degree or diploma program in science or engineering.
• The applicant should be a first-generation innovative entrepreneur with no prior source of income.
• The grant cannot be concurrent with any other remuneration or fellowship.
• The applicant cannot be a promoter or significant (>10%) shareholder/beneficiary of another company at the time of applying for and receiving the grant approval.
• The applicant must have a formal business plan and a proof of concept for the idea they intend to pursue.
• The project must have a technology innovation component and should not have a very short journey (i.e., less than 6 months) to commercialization.
• The grant recipient must be registered for the pre-incubation program at SINE for the entire duration of the support.
