About this scheme
The GENESIS Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EiR) Program Cohort 2 is an initiative under MeitY Startup Hub (MSH) designed to support early-stage founders from Tier II and Tier III cities in India.
The program offers structured mentorship, ecosystem access, and financial support of up to Rs. 10 Lakhs to help founders validate and build their startup ideas. Selected entrepreneurs will be physically incubated at Pilani Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Society (PIEDS), BITS Pilani, Rajasthan, and will receive hands-on support to kickstart their entrepreneurial journey.
The program specifically focuses on startups working in Electronic Design and Manufacturing, Deeptech Software or Products, and ICT domains.
Who can apply
- Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply.
- Applicants or entities must be registered from Tier II or Tier III cities in India.
- Applicants must be founders or co-founders of DPIIT-registered startups that are not more than 2 years old.
- Startups must not have received significant external funding exceeding Rs. 10 lakh, including government grants.
- Applicants must not have been previously supported under any MeitY schemes.
- The startup idea must be at the stage of ideation, concept development, validation or problem-solution fit, proof of concept (PoC), or prototyping or working prototype.
- Applicants must commit to working full-time on the proposed startup during the EiR program.
- Selected applicants must be willing to be physically incubated at PIEDS, BITS Pilani, Rajasthan.
- EiR support under GENESIS can be availed only once.
