About this scheme

ANKURAN (Idea to Product Stage) is the entry-level program within RKVY-RAFTAAR for founders working on agricultural and allied sector innovations. It bridges the gap between ideation and product development through an intensive 1-month Agri-Entrepreneurship Orientation Program followed by prototype development support.

Selected participants receive a monthly stipend of 10,000 during the training period (for residency programs), followed by non-dilutive grant support up to 5 lakh (90% of project cost) to launch their prototype. This covers product refinement, testing, trials, and test marketing.

The program supports broad agricultural innovation including crops, livestock, food processing, supply chain, and rural development. It explicitly welcomes applicants from any educational background, not just agriculture - the focus is on the solution's relevance to the sector. Selected participants gain access to R-ABI's lab facilities, certification support, training, and mentoring from domain experts.

Who can apply

• Farmers, students, or youth working on innovative ideas in agriculture and allied sectors
• Can apply as unregistered ventures; must register as legal entity to receive funding
• Must complete the 1-month mandatory Agri-Entrepreneurship Orientation Program
• Must demonstrate genuine growth and progress during the program period
• Will be evaluated by the RKVY-RAFTAAR Incubation Committee (RIC)
• Startups receiving grants from other Government of India ministries for the same activity are not eligible

How the application process works

The journey below is informational, compiled from the official program guidelines. Applications are submitted directly with R-ABI (RKVY-RAFTAAR), in your own name.

   Applications submitted via Google Form are reviewed by the RKVY-RAFTAAR Incubation Committee (RIC), which evaluates idea quality and selects participants for the 1-month orientation program.

   Post-training, RIC evaluates progress against selection parameters before recommending startups to the Regional Committee.

   Final grant approval comes from the Nodal Division, Ministry of Agriculture.
