About this scheme
The Women in Tech Accelerator is a 12-week cohort program jointly run by ACIC-BMU Foundation and Ideabaaz, built exclusively for women-led technology startups with a working MVP and early traction. It is designed to take startups from MVP to market validation, funding readiness, and real industry engagement.
The program runs in two phases. Phase 1 (Weeks 1, 8) covers business model design, deployment preparation, investor readiness, and Demo Day preparation. Phase 2 (Weeks 9, 12) shifts focus to performance tracking, corporate connections, and active investor engagement, culminating in a Final Demo Day broadcast on national television through the Ideabaaz platform , giving selected startups significant public and investor visibility.
Participating startups gain access to BML Munjal University's labs and R&D facilities, curated introductions to angel networks, micro-VCs, and family offices, and guided navigation of government schemes including MeitY Startup Hub and Startup India. The program is open to tech startups across domains including Healthtech, Edtech, Fintech, Climate Tech, AI & Deeptech, Manufacturing Tech, B2B SaaS, and Supply Chain , sector categories are illustrative, not restrictive.
Entry is in exchange for a 3% equity stake. No direct cash grant is disbursed by the program.
Who can apply
- Startup must be incorporated as a private limited company
- Founded or co-founded by a woman holding majority ownership or a key decision-making leadership role
- Must have a working Minimum Viable Product (MVP) in place
- Must show early signs of customer demand, market traction, or pilot readiness
- Solution must be technology-driven and scalable
- Team must be capable of testing or deploying the product within 3 months of joining the program
- Must commit to a minimum of 90% attendance across all sessions, workshops, and reviews

- The program does not disburse a direct cash grant.
- In exchange for a 3% equity stake, selected startups receive access to curated investor networks including angel networks, micro-VCs, and family offices, along with facilitated access to government-linked funding schemes based on eligibility.
- Any grants facilitated through schemes such as MeitY Startup Hub or Startup India are subject to the respective authority's guidelines and approvals.

Yes. While focus areas include Healthtech, Edtech, Fintech, Climate Tech, AI & Deeptech, Manufacturing Tech, B2B SaaS, and Supply Chain, applications from adjacent and emerging tech domains are encouraged and not restricted.
What is the equity requirement?
A 3% equity stake is taken in exchange for program participation. Any equity linked to funding raised through the program is additional and governed separately.
Does the startup need to be incorporated?
Yes. Only private limited companies are eligible. Sole proprietorships, LLPs, or unregistered entities are not eligible.
What is the national TV pitch opportunity?
Phase 2 of the program culminates in a Final Demo Day broadcast on national television through the Ideabaaz platform, giving selected startups public visibility and live investor exposure.
Is direct cash funding provided?
No direct cash grant is disbursed. The program facilitates access to government-linked funding schemes (subject to scheme eligibility) and connects startups with angel networks, micro-VCs, and family offices.
