the^delta Incubator 2026 Cohort
by the^delta
Incubator for early-stage nonprofit social entrepreneurs in India focused on livelihoods.
About this scheme
The the^delta Incubator 2026 Cohort is a flagship initiative designed to support early-stage nonprofit social entrepreneurs across India. Operated by the^delta, an organization dedicated to fostering resilient livelihoods, the incubator leverages its track record of having nurtured 126 nonprofits and facilitating over Rs. 45 Crore in catalytic capital. This deep experience ensures a strong support system for emerging leaders. The program fundamentally aims to strengthen organizations focused on creating profound and sustainable impact for marginalized and underserved communities, addressing systemic issues that perpetuate poverty and inequality.
Participants embarking on the intensive 9-month incubator phase receive an Innovation Grant of up to Rs. 30,00,000. This initial capital is strategically intended to help organizations solidify their theory of change, develop and refine their Minimum Viable Product (MVP) based on real-world feedback, and cover essential pilot experimentation costs to validate their solutions. Crucially, funding can also be allocated towards essential areas such as hiring and team development, ensuring the organization has the human capital to execute its vision, as well as broader product and program advancements that bolster both immediate impact and long-term scalability.
Nonprofits demonstrating strong performance and significant progress during the initial incubator phase have the invaluable opportunity to advance to a subsequent 12-month accelerator program. This progression is not merely an extension; it can unlock an additional Rs. 75,00,000, bringing the total potential financial support over a cumulative 21-month journey to an impressive Rs. 1,05,00,000. Beyond this significant monetary aid, the program offers a comprehensive suite of non-financial support, including personalized organizational mentoring, hands-on strategic support to navigate challenges, capital readiness guidance to prepare for future fundraising, sector-specific networking to foster collaboration, and immersive bootcamps designed to enhance critical skills and knowledge.
Who can apply
- The applicant must be an early-stage organization, specifically defined as having been incorporated 0-3 years since inception. This focus ensures the program can provide foundational support during critical growth phases. Organizations aged 3-5 years are also considered eligible, but only if they are launching a demonstrably new livelihoods initiative, indicating a renewed focus or strategic pivot that aligns with the incubator's mission.
- The program is exclusively dedicated to supporting nonprofit organizations, and applicants must be legally registered as a Section 8 company, a trust, or a society under Indian law. Applicants who are not yet registered but have a clear and actionable plan to register as such by May 31, 2026, will also be considered, demonstrating their commitment to formalizing their nonprofit status.
- A crucial operational requirement is that at least one founder must be working full-time on the initiative. This ensures dedicated leadership and commitment to driving the organization's mission and growth. Applicants are expected to possess a Proof of Concept (PoC) or a Minimum Viable Product (MVP), indicating that their solution has moved beyond the ideation phase and has some initial validation or development.
- Finally, the proposed solution must specifically and directly address building resilient livelihoods for marginalized and underserved communities. This broad focus encompasses a range of critical areas such as sustainable income generation strategies, skill-building initiatives for enhanced employability, entrepreneurship development programs, and facilitating improved access to vital markets, finance, or technology. The aim is to empower individuals and communities to achieve long-term economic stability.
