Its specialised labs and programmes include the Clean Energy International Incubation Centre, a joint effort of Tata Trusts and the Government of India supported by the Department of Biotechnology, BIRAC, Tata Power, and Tata Power-DDL; the Techtonic Innovations in Clean Energy programme; and the India Agritech Incubation Network, supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Tata Trusts, for innovators serving smallholder farmers. It also runs assistive-technology programmes and provides seed investments alongside lab-to-market incubation that opens up advanced lab infrastructure, test beds, technical advisory, R&D support, industry piloting, and go-to-market strategy. It has nurtured more than 200 startups, including over 60 seed investments, with portfolio names such as Takachar, whose founder Vidyut Mohan was named a UNEP Young Champion of the Earth, along with Agrograde and Ai Health Highway.
