PDEU Innovation and Incubation Centre (formerly PDPU Innovation and Incubation Centre) was established in 2017 under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013 to foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology commercialization. The centre complements the academic and research ecosystem of Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) by providing world-class incubation support to innovators, entrepreneurs, researchers, and startups.
Recognized as a Technology Business Incubator (TBI) by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, and as a Nodal Institute by the Government of Gujarat, PDEU IIC offers mentoring, infrastructure, business development support, networking opportunities, investor connect, intellectual property assistance, and access to government funding schemes.
The incubation centre has supported more than 200 startups across diverse sectors including energy, clean technology, healthcare, agriculture, artificial intelligence, education, sustainability, manufacturing, and digital technologies. Its 20,000 sq. ft. incubation facility provides startups with office space, laboratories, meeting rooms, and collaborative workspaces.
PDEU IIC has also played a significant role in promoting entrepreneurship among students and faculty, supporting over 50 student startups and 10 faculty-led ventures while helping incubated startups collectively raise more than Rs. 96 crore in funding and generate hundreds of employment opportunities.
