About ISB I-Venture
I-Venture @ ISB is the incubation and entrepreneurship arm of the Indian School of Business, run from the ISB campus in Hyderabad with a second base in Mohali. It was created to make entrepreneurship more reachable across India, with a clear bias toward women founders and teams from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, and it now ranks among the busiest business-school incubators in the country. Its portfolio spans 250+ incubated startups, including 50+ women-led companies whose founders have raised meaningful follow-on capital from Indian and international investors.
The platform runs several distinct tracks. I-WIN, short for Women of Innovation Accelerator, is a six-month virtual, sector-agnostic programme for revenue-generating startups with at least one woman founder or co-founder; it pairs mentoring with work on business models, go-to-market, process standardisation, international expansion, and investor introductions, and is currently on its fifth cohort. The I-Venture Immersive track, written as ivi, is a separate six-month programme aimed at aspiring founders, fresh graduates, working technologists, and women entrepreneurs, with no CAT, GMAT, or GRE entry barrier; it blends teaching from ISB faculty with practical venture building.
Two further initiatives round out the offering. DiscoverShe is a roadshow that carries the platform into smaller cities and gives women micro-entrepreneurs a forum to pitch and meet investors and mentors. Core Incubation provides longer-term backing for ISB-linked and outside founders building scalable companies, opening up ISB faculty, the sister entity AIC at ISB, corporate partners, and the school's alumni-investor base.
The companies cut across sectors, with strength in SaaS, consumer brands, healthtech, agritech, fintech, edtech, and impact ventures. Entry requirements differ by track: I-WIN expects a woman-founded or co-founded venture already earning revenue, ivi welcomes early-stage and pre-founders, and Core Incubation favours scalable, defensible businesses, ideally with some traction.
