About Boeing India
Boeing India is the Indian subsidiary of The Boeing Company, the global aerospace and defence group. Beyond its core operations, it runs BUILD, the Boeing University Innovation Leadership Development programme, a startup initiative launched in 2019 that works with academic incubators across India to find and support ventures tackling aerospace, defence, sustainability, and advanced-technology challenges.
Acting as a corporate innovation partner rather than a conventional accelerator, Boeing India gives startups access to its technical expertise, mentorship from aerospace professionals, and possible routes into its global supply chain, drawing on deep knowledge of aerospace engineering, advanced manufacturing, and defence systems. Now in its fourth edition, BUILD 4.0 partners seven leading incubators, among them FITT at IIT Delhi, SID at IISc, T-Hub, the IIT Madras incubation cell, IIT Gandhinagar, and KIIT-TBI, and recent editions drew more than 2,000 ideas from over 2,700 participants. Selected teams receive mentoring, access to Boeing engineers and facilities, and potential pilot or procurement opportunities across themes such as green aviation, autonomous systems, advanced materials, and sustainable manufacturing.
Its alumni include Thrustworks Dynetics, HyPrix Aviation, Trishul Space, Nexus Power, Rapha Bionics, and SAP Aerospace, working on electric propulsion, hybrid aircraft, space technology, and aerospace components. Indian deep-tech founders in aerospace engineering, unmanned systems, advanced manufacturing, green aviation, and defence technology are the natural audience; founders need a technology proposition relevant to Boeing's operations but do not have to relocate, since they work through partner incubators in their own cities. A relationship with Boeing, even at pilot stage, is a strong validation signal and a rare commercial pathway. It is online at boeing.co.in.
