NewGen IEDC Grant Support

About this scheme

The NewGen IEDC is a DST initiative aimed at promoting innovation and entrepreneurship among science and technology students by supporting the development of innovative, commercially viable projects. It provides financial support of up to Rs. 2.5 lakhs per project for Proof-of-Concept (PoC) or prototype development. This includes Rs. 25,000 for mentor support, Rs. 25,000 for company registration (as a stipend for legal entity formation), and Rs. 200,000 for materials, fabrication, and prototyping. The program also offers mentoring, incubation support, access to workshops, and startup advisory. Top-performing teams may qualify for additional funding opportunities.

Who can apply

• The proposed project must belong to the domain of science, engineering, technology, or allied fields.
• The project must be either hardware-based or a hardware-software integrated solution.
• A maximum of 4 team members is allowed per project, with at least one member being a student of I.T.S Engineering College, Greater Noida.
• Each selected idea must include one mentor and one mentee from the Host Institution.
• _Mentees are required to register their company using the company registration support provided under the project (reimbursement up to Rs. 25,000 for company formation if already registered)._
• _The prototype must be completed within 6 months after receiving required materials._
• _Any machinery or non-consumable item purchased under the project must be submitted to the Host Institution at the time of final project submission._
• _Monthly progress reports must be submitted._
