About this scheme
The MeitY GENESIS Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EiR) Cohort 2.0 Program is a flagship initiative under the MeitY GENESIS Scheme, implemented by the IIM Udaipur Incubation Centre to support early-stage founders and student entrepreneurs in deep-tech domains.
The program offers financial support of up to **INR 10 Lakhs** over a period of two years, along with structured mentorship, access to experts, and exposure to a strong startup and investor network. Selected EiRs are required to be physically incubated at the IIM Udaipur Incubation Centre.
The initiative is aimed at nurturing high-potential technology innovations at early stages such as ideation, validation, proof of concept, or prototyping, especially in emerging and strategic technology areas supported by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
Who can apply
- Applicants must be Indian citizens.
- Eligible applicants include full-time UG or PG students with entrepreneurial pursuits, or founders/co-founders of DPIIT-registered startups that are not more than 2 years old.
- Applicants must not have received significant external funding exceeding INR 10 Lakhs, including government grants.
- The applicant must be working on innovations at the stage of ideation, concept development, validation, proof of concept, or prototyping.
- Eligible sectors include electronic design and manufacturing, deeptech software and products, and ICT solutions using technologies such as AI/ML, IoT, VLSI or semiconductors, cybersecurity, blockchain, quantum computing, and AR/VR or immersive technologies.
- Selected EiRs must be physically incubated at the IIM Udaipur Incubation Centre and should not have previously received support under the MeitY GENESIS EiR Grant for the same idea or venture.
