The **MeitY GENESIS EIR Cohort-2** is a flagship initiative by the **Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY)** to strengthen the startup ecosystem, particularly in Tier-II and Tier-III cities. The program, implemented by **Amrita Technology Business Incubator**, offers aspiring entrepreneurs a subsistence grant to support the development of a promising technology business idea. It aims to nurture and grow early-stage tech ventures, helping them transition from a mere concept to a scalable, market-ready startup.

The program provides a grant of **up to Rs. 10 Lakhs** over a one-year period. In return, entrepreneurs are expected to demonstrate commitment and performance by achieving targeted milestones. Non-performing participants may be terminated from the program, ensuring that the funding is used effectively to create a tangible impact.

Who can apply

• The applicant must be an Indian citizen, at least 18 years old, and a first-generation entrepreneur committed to working full-time on the startup idea.
• The startup should be in the ideation, validation, or very early stages.
• The idea must be original and align with the program's focus on Electronic Design & Manufacturing, Deeptech Software/Products, and the ICT space.
• The startup must not have received significant external funding (exceeding Rs. 10 lakhs, including government grants).
• If already incorporated, the startup must be a Private Limited Company or LLP not older than 2 years.
