About this scheme
The Bharat Startup Grand Challenge 2025 is a national innovation initiative presented by Sri Sairam Institutions and the Sri Sairam Techno Incubator Foundation in collaboration with Startup India and DPIIT.
The program focuses on identifying, supporting, and scaling indigenous innovations across two major domains:
Rural Development Technologies
Advanced Drone Systems
Under the Rural Development track, innovators are encouraged to build affordable and scalable solutions for rural healthcare access, waste management, and digital education.
Under the Advanced Drone Systems track, the challenge invites cutting-edge innovations in Anti-Drone Systems and Swarm Drone Technologies that strengthen national security, disaster response, and technological sovereignty.
Selected participants receive cash prizes, long-term incubation support, structured mentorship, investor connect, and access to world-class facilities at the Sri Sairam Techno Incubator Foundation. The initiative aims to foster Atmanirbhar Bharat by bridging social innovation with deep-tech development.
Who can apply
- Final-year undergraduate or postgraduate students (individuals or teams).
- Must have a working prototype of the proposed solution.
- Solutions should be practical, feasible, and aligned with the challenge scope.
- A demonstration video of the working prototype is mandatory.
- Teams may be multidisciplinary and from relevant engineering or technology domains.
- Must be a DPIIT-recognised startup or a registered MSME in India.
- Should have a functional prototype or minimum viable product (MVP) ready for demonstration.
- The solution must address one of the challenge themes under Rural Development Technologies or Advanced Drone Technologies.
