About this scheme
The Akash Acceleration Program is the flagship six-month accelerator run by AIC - IIIT Hyderabad for early-stage, tech-based social startups working towards Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The program is designed to help social entrepreneurs refine their business models, strengthen technical capabilities, and build scalable and sustainable impact-driven ventures. It combines structured bootcamps, leadership development, mentoring, and access to IIIT Hyderabad's deep tech ecosystem.
Selected startups receive seed investment support along with extensive non-financial benefits such as access to research labs, technology expertise, investor networks, and ongoing business coaching. The program is delivered through a mix of virtual and in-person engagement.
Who can apply
- Early-stage, for-profit social startups based in India.
- Startups may be incorporated or unincorporated at the time of application.
- Eligible sectors include Healthcare IT, HealthTech/MedTech, Sustainability, Environment, Waste Management, Clean Energy, AgriTech/Food Processing, EdTech, FinTech enablers, Social Innovation, Circular Economy, and related SDG-aligned domains.
- Startups should be at prototype, user, or paying customer stage.
- Startups may or may not have raised prior funding and may or may not be generating revenue.
