EPAM Social Impact Innovation Program - 4th Cohort

About this scheme

The Social Impact Innovation Program is a 4-6 month long acceleration program designed for Tech-based Social Enterprises already in the market with revenue. It specifically targets start-ups in the Environment, Waste Management, or Clean Energy sectors. The program aims to provide a small grant and acceleration support to help these start-ups contribute to a green recovery stimulus in Post Covid India, amplify their impact, and/or make them sustainable.

Key program highlights include:
Milestone-based grant support of up to INR 5 lakhs.
Bootcamps and workshops on various topics.
Masterclasses and mentorship provided by experts.
Support in refining the business model and scaling for impact.
Access to CIE IIITH Startup services.
Access to the IIITH Smart City Lab Test Bed.
Access to IIIT-H's technology expertise, lab facilities, and talent pool.

Depending on the readiness of startups, they may also participate in demo-days and potentially secure seed funding. Founders can build and expand their network, meet experienced mentors, investors, and learn from peers.

Who can apply

• The startup must be a tech-based social enterprise solving social or environmental challenges in India, aligning with Sustainable Development Goals.
• Technology must be an integral aspect of the start-up.
• Startup must actively seek to establish a research connect with IIITH.
• The start-up should work towards benefiting people at the bottom of the pyramid or the larger community and/or making a positive impact on the environment.
• India-based entity, Incorporated as a Private limited Company, LLP or Registered partnership (majority shareholding should be Indian including OCI & PIO holders).
• Age of at least one founder must be >18 years at the time of application.
• Startup must be registered with DPIIT.
• Startup must have a cumulative revenue of INR 1 lakh at the time of filling this application as reflected in accounts.
• Circular Economy/Resource Solutions (including waste management, water, and wastewater).
• Energy (including smart grid, clean/renewable energy, low carbon energy, or energy efficiency).
• Green Data (use of technology solutions like GIS, IOT, AI/ML for environmental improvement or conservation).
• Climate Adaptation.
